After a hiatus due to the pandemic, the Chichester Harbour Crabbing competition is making a comeback, promising a thrilling and competitive event. The competition is scheduled to begin with a briefing at 10.45 am, followed by the actual crabbing session. Participants have until 12.00 pm to officially count and measure their crab hauls, marked by the sounding of the Finishing Hooter.

An array of prizes awaits participants, including recognition for the most crabs caught, the largest crab captured, and other intriguing categories that will be unveiled on the event day. While the Education Centre offers a limited number of hookless crabbing lines, buckets, and bacon for borrowing, participants have the option of bringing their own trusted crabbing equipment. It's important to note that tickets must be secured in advance to join the competition.
